We opened up in February 2010 at http://www.blujay.com/simplysewing. In about a year, we sold over 200 patterns, and then decided to move to this location. We moved here because we maintain two other stores on this site, and it was simpler to place our third store here as well.

We now list Misses patterns by maker and era, and children's patterns by era.

If the pattern you want is out of stock, or you are looking for a particular pattern, please contact us. We maintain a list of patterns and people who are interested in them. While we can't guarantee anything, we receive patterns 2 to 3 times a week, and will contact you if we receive the one you are interested in. We will contact you before we list it, and you are under no obligation to purchase it - if we don't hear back from you within a given time frame, we will list it. Q

We accept PayPal and Google Checkout, and welcome checks and money orders as well. We ship within 24 hours of payment, but do wait for checks to clear.

Sadie Bell was our much loved German Shepherd, Lab mix dog, who, unfortunately, we lost April 1, 2010, at the age of 12. Maxs Hot Wheels (now closed) was named after her brother Max, who also passed away 6 months before she did.

We obtain our patterns from a variety of sources. We check each pattern carefully and note any defects. Uncut, factory folded patterns are listed as New; Cut patterns as used. Please note that even new patterns can have extensive envelope wear, especially if they are vintage. We DO NOT LIST cut patterns that have been altered in any way, except for length, and only if the extensions are included. If we deviate from that policy (for example, with a vintage pattern), we will indicate if the extensions are included or not.

Due to to delays with customs, we are no longer shipping to England or Australia. Delays caused by customs and international shipping in general, are beyond our control but have resulted in unhappy customers and bad feedback, even though we ship within 24 hours of receipt of payment. We are sorry we have had to take this action, as we have always appreciated our international customers. But we are a small company and cannot to have our reputation tarnished because of international shipping delays that are beyond our control. We thank our international customers for their business, and again, we apologize. This was not an easy decision.

If a pattern is significantly not as described, we will certainly issue you a refund. Please contact us if you feel this is the case.

Some of our listings will indicate that a multi size pattern has been cut for a certain size; the cut size and all sizes lower than that size are available on the pattern.
